Listen: Farao – “To Sleep Apart (Kristoffer Lislegaard Remix)” [Premiere]
Our admiration of Farao is something we’ve not been too shy about of late. Her self-titled debut EP recently hailed by Best Fit’s New Music Editor Charlotte Kroll as “remarkable” coupled with a long form Introducing interview with the Norwegian singer-songwriter firmly places her amongst our favourite new acts of recent months.
Today we’re thrilled to premiere a new remix of EP standout track “To Sleep Apart” by fellow Norwegian artist Kristoffer Lislegaard. The elasticity and gentle grace of Farao’s acoustic original is transformed here into an altogether darker creature. The poignancy and heartbreak somehow amplified to even greater effect. A sad, solemn but nonetheless moving affair.
Farao’s self-titled debut EP is out now. She will be headlining The Waiting Room in London 25 February. A full-length is expected later this year.
