London based – Norway bred Kari Jahnsen announces the release of her keenly awaited debut EP with lead track “The Hours”. A pensive tale of longing and regret, the song showcases Jahnsen’s continuing flare for penning emotive balladry with a deep emotional tug.
Like her previous material, the track was recorded alongside Mike Lindsay from Tunng amongst the frozen climbs of Reykjavik: the lush landscapes having a definite influence on her sound.
Farao headlines London’s The Waiting Room on 25 February (tickets) and will also be appearing at Nordic new music showcases Eurosonic, By:Larm and Trondheim Calling.
Farao’s self-titled debut EP is due for release on 10th February, 2014 via Something Nothing Records. Stream “The Hours” below.
