Listen: Evenings – Softly We Go (Astral Plane remix)

All we know of Astral Plane is that his name is Dan and he lives somewhere on the island of Trinidad and Tobago. And while this could be the beginnings of an international man hunt or a internet fable, it’s nonetheless an interesting introduction to his music.

The producer’s Soundcloud page is populated by a number of remixes and beat work inspired by the likes of J Dilla, Minnie Riperton and more. They’re never more than two minutes long but always are of a high, soulful quality. The latest instrumental is this unfinished retweek of Evenings’ ‘Softly We Go’, last heard on the U.S producer’s Lately EP. As you can imagine, it’s too short.
