Nashville outfit ELEL are releasing their debut self-titled EP today (3 March), and you can stream it on Best Fit.
The eight-piece pop collective make dreamy, expansive sounds tinged with Arcade Fire-isms, tropical titbits and enormous crunching melodies. Influenced by the likes of Beach House and Toro Y Moi, bandleader Ben Elkins said: "It’s the outcome of me producing music that risks leaving space and communicates emotion easily and softly.”
It includes the mesmerising "40 Watt", with its addictive vocal manipulations and sun-smooched beats, the slow-burning Broken Social Scene-type anthem "Geode", and "Cherokee", a sprawling 6-minute pop-rock cut.
ELEL is out now digitally (24 March physically) via Mom + Pop, and you can get it from here, here or here.
