Listen: Eddi Front – Superhero Style
NY chanteuse Eddi Front has followed up the spellbinding meditative languish that was recently-dropped track ‘Gigantic’ with the equally pondersome ‘Superhero Style’, in which the singer laments: “You got what you want and it’s so unappealing”. Her flawless and ever-penetrating songwriting is bolstered tenfold by a newly-added horn section, sounding like early Azure Ray situated in a prohibition-era illegal jazz bar.
Listen to the track beneath, which premiered over at Pitchfork earlier today. It’s taken from Front’s self-titled debut EP, set for release on our very own Best Fit Recordings come 5 November.
Eddi Front will headline her debut live show at St Pancras Old Church in London on 8 November. Tickets are on sale now.
