Waiting’s a pesky bugger, isn’t it? There’s still a week to go until Leeds’ finest fuzz-punks Eagulls unleash their self-titled EP, and our thumbs are knackered from all the twiddling they’ve been doing in the interim. Luckily the good people at SEXBEAT have seen fit to tide things over with a sneaky first listen to new track ‘Moulting’, and guess what? It’s rad as hell.
Switching from howling feedback and thunderously-pounded drums to post-shoegaze savagery, it sounds like Ride bounding across white-hot coals, with The Wipers and New Bomb Turks flinging knives at them from either side. In other words, it’s pretty exhilarating. That EP is bound to rule.
