Listen: Dios Mio - "Body" [Premiere]
Earlier this year London band Dios Mio caught our ears with "Stories". Now the quartet are back with new single "Body", which Best Fit are delighted to premiere ahead of their show at London's Shacklewell Arms this Saturday.
Due for release on January 26 2015, "Body" is an introspective tale of excess and destruction according to singer Helena Coan, who explains: "I wanted to play on the thin line between love and obsession and how frighteningly easy it is to be infatuated and dependent on another person.” The song marks yet further progression for the band, whose output thus far has only got stronger and more confident over their brief existence. In a recurring stylistic theme, driving bass and percussion form a solid foundation for the melodic flashes of guitar that glaze over the mix, whilst Coan's vocal completes this accomplished, bitter-sweet single.
