Celebrated frontman of cult acts Galaxie 500, Dean & Britta and Lunar, Dean Wareham today announces the release of his first ever solo album – due to drop via Sonic Cathedral on March 10.
Produced by Jim James of My Morning Jacket and recorded at James’ studio in Louisville, Kentucky – the self-titled long-player follows on from Wareham’s Emancipated Hearts mini-album from late last year.
The first track lifted from the album is the breezy “Holding Pattern”, premiering today at Best Fit. Wareham’s instantly recognisable croak flutters over a care free backing that pitches itself somewhere between Teenage Fanclub and Dinosaur Jr’s most accessible work.
