London trio Daughter are offering potential remixers access to all the audio stems from The Wild Youth EP highlight ‘Love’. The idea being that budding producers and fans of the band can bend and reshape the heart-swelling folk paean of their own accord before tweeting #daughterfreespace with the best remixes ultimately being uploaded to their official website.
The best rework we’ve come across thus far happens to be courtesy of Guildford x London x Osaka outfit Nedry who have layered big muscular bass throbs over foreboding synth oscillations and the distantly echoing rattle of austere drum breaks. Remarkably Elena Tonra’s unblemished voice remains preserved and as icy pure as ever, in spite of the darker sonic depths being plumbed. A delightfully warped take on our favourite Daughter track to be left off If You Leave.
