Listen: COURTS - "Part Of" [Premiere]
Dream-grime fivesome COURTS are unrolling "Part Of", the title track from their upcoming debut EP, exclusively on Best Fit.
Hailing from Basildon, the outfit sew together the disparate worlds of gnarled grimey rap - think Dizzee Rascal - with SoCal slackers and the associated diaspora. On "Part Of", COURTS spin razor-sharp words with hazy noodling and slick chilled-out funk; it screams summer, and there's real potential for this to go down a treat during festival season.
Explaining the beginning's of the party-startin' charmer, the band said:
“Part Of first came about a while back when Reece came up with some chords at our studio. We jammed it out and then it came together from there. The track is out next month as part of a EP package... it's is a comment on everyday life's ups and downs, and approaching them with a feeling of hope."
The Part Of EP is set for release 23 March, via Invader Records/Sony.
