Listen: Classixx – Holding On + (Jerome LOL Remix)

With jungle bongos, clapping beats and a killer bass hook, L.A. production duo Classixx turn up the heat with their latest track ‘Holding On’, from their forthcoming debut, Hanging Gardens.

It’s a brilliantly uplifting piece of disco dance bound to cheer up the elongated winter we’re struggling through. The classic 90s chord progression is wrapped up in a funk-fueled rhythm and impatient vocal sample that scream Summer anthem – let’s hope it hangs around for the sunshine.

If Classixx’s original track feels like the accompaniment to a hedonistic rave, then fellow Los Angeles resident, Jerome LOL’s remix is the soundtrack to the more laid-back, heady results that follow.
