The recent months may have been produced some pretty lacklustre guitar-pop, but cheer up; Liverpool buzz-band Circa Waves’s second track “Good For Me” is a real diamond in the rough.
Featuring on their just-released AA-side single (also including “Get Away“), “Good for Me” is a pop-rock belter that sounds incredibly like The Vaccines; albeit with much chirpier vocals. The boys pack tons of quality fretwork and hooks into only 140 seconds, garnishing it with a polished sheen. If next year happens to reward us with Liverpool’s version of 2013′s ‘B-Town’ movement, Circa Waves - inbetween crafting more cracking tunes – should be waving the flag.
