Listen: Chad Valley – Fall 4 U (ft. Glasser)
October 30 will see the long-awaited release of Young Hunger, the debut album from Oxford’s Chad Valley. Hugo Manuel has kept us entertained with remixes, his Equatorial Ultravox and self-titled EPs, plus music from his band Jonquil, but a full-length from Chad Valley is what we’ve really been waiting for in the hope that his soulful, balearic 80s synth-pop will really take flight. As the record features contributions from Twin Shadow, Active Child and El Perro Del Mar we’re rightfully hopeful (and excited) that it’ll be a corker.
The first release from Young Hunger is the single ‘Fall 4 U’, featuring the wonderful vocal talents of Glasser’s Cameron Mesirow. Her ethereal voice takes flight with Manuel’s blue-eyed soulboy tones to create a track that’d be perfect as the sultry last dance number at a White Isle discotheque.
