Listen: Candide – Don't You Go [Best Fit Premiere]
Brooklyn’s mysteriously sexy new crooners, Candide are back, following up their debut single ‘Scarey Cat’, this time with a disco-noir inspired number, once again drawing from dawn’s earliest hours spent in the most ill-lighted crevices of a club.
On their new single, ‘Don’t You Go’, the band decides to stray from their secluded perch and step into the light, infusing sexy R&B clicks with punchy stabs of synth and fluid rhythms. Like the queen of the night that she is, commanding her audience to groove to the beat, our unnamed singer’s soft, come-hither vocals roll off trumpet flairs and rippling percussion possessing all patrons to take to the dancefloor.
Candide plays Brooklyn’s Glasslands Gallery this Friday (3/29) with RIOUX and Tubetops.
