Listen: brotherun – Wishful Thinking

Comprised of siblings Nicholas and Trevor Tillery, brotherun are, in some ways Nashville’s answer to iamwhoiamwhoami, supplanting Jonna Lee’s caramel smooth vox with more maudlin repetitions on debut track ‘Wishful Thinking’. Guitars, slippery with reverb jangle in tandem with precise pops of percussion; samplers glitching in the background, growing in stature, flaring up in the final minute before floating back down to its tranquil foundations. The duo will release their debut EP later this year, sit tight for more delicately forged electronica.
