Listen: Blood Diamonds – Grins (Deptford Goth Remix)
‘Grins’ is a song that we’re very familiar with here at The Line of Best Fit, having selected it to be part of the prestigious troupe of tracks featured on July’s brilliant podcast. As the latest single from Vancouver producer Blood Diamonds, also known as Mike Tucker, ‘Grins’ features a sultry vocal layered over the top of a synth-laden, captivating electronic backdrop. The track overflows with warm synthetic sounds, and is such an engaging listen that it has attracted the attention of fellow producer Deptford Goth, who has created this remix of the upcoming single.
Revamped, rewired and retuned by the fair hands of Deptford Goth, ‘Grins’ has been gifted with new dimensions in the form of a seemingly stipped back, more minimal take on the song, whilst still retaining the light and warmth of the original track.
Blood Diamonds’ ‘Grins’ will be released on 22 August through Transparent, but for now, it can be streamed below.
