Following a couple of tasty demos and a recent sell-out AA-side single released through Transgressive imprint, ParadYse Records, Hampshire trio Blaenavon play the role of indie kids making catchy tunes to far outstretch their tender years (they’re all only 17) insanely well.
They’ve got a new EP on the way and have made lead track ‘Prague’ available online for your streaming requirements.
The suitably enticing ‘Prague’ is a blend of brilliantly brash guitars and teasing dynamics with sections that overflow with piercing cymbals and howling vocals meeting tranquil moments that simmer in a breeze of hushed vocals and fingerpicking. There are clear influences from current indie titans such as The Maccabees and Foals which, albeit plain to see, are stylishly referenced.
The four track KOSO EP is released through Transgressive on 23 September and is available for pre-order here.
