Listen: Black Honey - "Spinning Wheel"
Black Honey showcase why they're one of the most promising new bands in Britain with cinematic new single "Spinning Wheel."
Lingering vocals tug at your heart right from the start, an echoing lament alongside a mournfully murmuring guitar. "Take all that you can from me," Izzy B Phillips croons, before the song ricochets up the heat in a frenzy of squeals and squalling guitars. You can practically see the desert landscape amidst the track's spaghetti-western refrains, almost feel the cool breeze blowing hauntingly through the steadily surging percussion. Taking your hand and waltzing you down a Tarantino soundtrack, "Spinning Wheel" is as captivating as they come.
"Spinning Wheel" will see release as a AA-side single with recently-unveiled track "Madonna."
Black Honey open for Superfood at London Heaven tonight (9 April).
