Glamorous Dutch vixen, BEA, has released her debut track, “Breadwinner”, a haunting melange of samba rhythms and cathedral pop that showcases her beautifully articulate vocals in a gorgeous light.
The pop noir chanteuse is a 22-year-old of British parentage making music in Amsterdam, and “Breadwinner” is the first teaser track to see the light of day so far. Opening with some exotic rhythm patterns and an understated bass trundle, BEA’s silky smooth croon, sounding like a less dreary Lana Del Rey, bursts into life at the behest of some haunting synth crescendos, before being joined by a soul soothing piano section. “Breadwinner” builds to a choral climax of ethereal descants, while BEA’s glorious utterances are allowed to pierce through the layers like a ray of sun through cloud.
“Breadwinner” is available as a free download from BEA’s soundcloud from 27 March, and a video is to follow shortly.
