Listen: Banks – Warm Water (Snakehips Remix)
Banks’ latest piece of dark, seductive pop gets a dance floor-ready remix as a couple of favourite up-and-comers collide.
The Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs produced track shows a more peaceful side to the L.A. songstress’ writing, but increasingly impressive production duo Snakehips have thrown their summery, urban hue all over it. Bluesy organ is married with Banks’ seductive vocal that oozes effortlessly over the heart-beating rhythm, before bouncing lazers and their typical vocal play ensures it is unmistakably the work of the talented Londoners; it is a partnership worth every bit of attention it will doubtless receive.
‘Warm Water’ it may be, but this reworking is bigger than that – it’s smoking hot stunner for a summer that is finally here.
