Listen: At The Drive-In – One Armed Scissor (The Field remix)

Seminal post-hardcore outfit At The Drive-In are planning their second reissue of the year, with 2000′s Relationship Of Command following on from the reissue of their 1996 debut Achromatic Tenement back in January.

In support of that forthcoming release is this electronic remix of ‘One Armed Scissor’ from Swedish producer The Field. Stripped of the knife edge combustibility of the original, he’s stretched it out into a minimalist instrumental interpretation, starting with some coarse feedback and developing into a pretty hypnotic drum led 9 minutes.

The Field remix will be release via Transgressive on 13 May as a 12″ single after the label puts out Relationship Of Command on 22 April.
