Listen: Astronomyy - "Not Into U"
Up-and-coming producer/songsmith astonomyy, hailing from the pastoral environs of Worcestershire and raised on a diet of the Internet, has unshackled his laste tune, "Not Into U".
The cut follows his lauded four-track EP There For U, and links up with "Swim Deeper" as an orphaned track in his catalogue. Whether it will remain standalone or it'll form a follow-up release remains to be seen.
The track combines his love of swoony R&B with classic hip-hop and cutting-edge electronic titbits. Sparse, muted guitars slither inbetween the foamy pads that he lays out. It's quite low-key for the majority of its 4:26, but it swiftly ramps up the emotional intensity in the dwindling minute.
