Listen: Arthur Beatrice – Vandals (Dauwd Remix) [Premiere]
With just over a week until debut release The Carter EP drops through Open Assembly Recordings, painfully hip Londoners Arthur Beatrice have instructed rising production star Dauwd to cast his delicate eye over their serene ballad ‘Vandals’.
Where the original’s subdued nature was blissfully carried along by the crooning vocals of Orlando Leopard and shuffling rhythm section, Dauwd takes a more forthright approach and pushes ‘Vandals’ towards the realms of future disco. The results; a broody, all encompassing seven minutes of gripping electronica.
Head over to the Open Assembly website to pre-order a copy of The Carter EP before its 22 July release date. Check out the Dauwd remix and, for good measure, the original version of ‘Vandals’ below.
