LEYYA's "Wannabe" is a squeaky clean summer synth-pop banger
With a sophomore album already under their belt, Austrian duo LEYYA aren't showing any signs of slowing down.
“After releasing our second album Sauna we tried to avoid the post-release-down with being creative and writing new music straight away," LEYYA explain of new track "Wannabe". Whilst it might not be summer down under, the bubbly new single is the perfect accompaniment to the heatwave sweeping this side of the globe. Squeaky clean synths and reggaeton-inspired beats build a balmy backdrop to the pair's sweetly duetting vocals.
"The song is circling around a problem almost everyone can relate to," the band continue, "Wanting to be like somebody else. Ironically, we find it's often also the other way around."
With a sound something like tUnE-yArDs meets Crystal Fighters meets San Cisco, LEYYA need to be on your freshest summer playlist.
