Atlanta's Lanes roll out with indie-guitar&B cut "Keep It Together"
Georgia four-piece Lanes offer up a pop-rock delight with "Keep It Together", the B-side to their latest single "All Things Aren't Forgiven".
Formed in 2015, the Atlanta-based band have been sharing their highly-crafted slices of R&B-influenced pop-rock for a couple of years, with last summer's "You're Somebody" being a particular highlight.
Offering some spirited relief from the currently gloomy and grey start to spring, "Keep It Together" is catchy and unapologetic in its frank discussion of a night out. Vocalist Tim Romero explains, "We really love this track just because of the mix of emotions that make up the narrative. We wrote it about a night rolling at an Atlanta EDM club. It's very honest, and I think that's sometimes the hardest part of writing."
Taking inspiration from rock, pop and R&B, the band's upbeat singles are from in a similar sonic sphere to The 1975 and LANY, intertwined with synths and live instrumentation. Lanes are Tim Romero, Jon Stoff, and brothers Chris and Johnny Beno who complete the line-up, currently working on new material.
