Lala Lala's "Dove" is a perfect foreword to the tumultuous movements of life on new album The Lamb
Lala Lala is the Chicago-based project of Lillie West who channels an invigorating world of indie pop as moody and introspective.
“Dove” is a flow of luminous vocals set to a lightly painted arrangement. With a contrasting ominous bass line that introduces the track, West perfectly aligns each individual part to create an expressive world.
Born in London before moving to Los Angeles with her family for her teenage years, West eventually settled in Chicago, having studied at the Art institute of Chicago. Finding emotional comfort in her music, she found herself translating emotional unrest of her life and so Lala Lala was born.
West released “Dove” ahead of her new album The Lamb which was released on 28 September. The album was written as a response to turbulent times having experienced a home invasion and deaths of loved ones.
Going off the honesty and space of “Dove”, the album is sure to be a portrayal of music walking hand in hand with personal experience.
