Calgary's Lab Coast travel "Back To Your Future" with more gloriously melancholy lo-fi pop
Last year Calgary’s Lab Coast released Remember The Moon, an album that found the band honing their lo-fi melancholy pop sound. Insistent dreamy pop with jangling guitars, distorted vocals and pretty melodies are the order of the day and the swoon-worthy final single to be lifted from the album, "Back To Your Future" is no different.
Fans of Alvvays, Camera Obscura and Suburban Kids With Biblical Names should take note, with a new EP forthcoming as well as a compilation on Faux Discx.
The video for the track was produced by Sara Jean Hughes of local name PreNup and features two of Arielle and Jay, the founders of the excellent Pee Blood record label - home to Milk Toast and noise punks Janitor Scum and The Scums.
