KWAYE breaks hearts with elegant soul-pop number "Lost In My Boots"
KWAYE is back with "Lost In My Boots", another era-straddling track filled with retro nods and forward-thinking motifs.
The track follows summer EP Solar (which features "Little Ones", "Cool Kids", and "Sweetest Life"), and sees KWAYE threading his addictive, heart-laced soul tones with funked-up basslines and beats that swing like a pendulum. It's a classy number with a contemporary twist.

"'Lost in My Boots' came to me at point where I was losing faith in my relationship, and fearing the worst," explains KWAYE. "I placed myself in my partner’s shoes. I imagined the hurt, the betrayal, and the heartbreak they would feel if I was to end it all, and the strength and perseverance I believed they would have to get through it all. The song is also a lyrical ode to the African American experience, better days that have been promised and broken throughout history, plus the strength and excellence in spite of these adversities."
