Listen: Kiesza - "Giant In My Heart"
Calgary-born Kiesza graced the airwaves with her incendiary “Hideaway” earlier this year. The track was an unexpected number 1 single for the singer and songwriter, who managed to filter through the charts with a old school, Disclosure -esque banger.
Having to live up to such a big success, Kiesza follows with her impressive second single, “Giant In My Heart”, which is certainly influenced by her recent move to London. Relying heavily on 90’s house and dance idiosyncrasies, Kiesza’s strong and piercing voice has the potency of the female vocalists that enriched dance jams of a couple of decades ago, set alongside an amazing sounding bass.
The all-synthetic composition of the track crosses deep house male vocal samples with upbeat glossy keyboards and drum machines, creating another great piece from this artist.
“Giant In My Heart” is released on 11 August via Lokal Legend/Virgin EMI.
