Uploaded quietly to Soundcloud a few months ago without much fuss, London based KHUSHI’s first demos have created quite a buzz, receiving support from XFM and Radio 1.
‘Magpie’ is the newcomer’s first single proper, and adds a thick layer of cinematic heartache to the frankly brilliant video, depicting a pensioner’s evening at a social club. It’s indie pop that delves emotionally deeper than most, with KHUSHI despondently revealing that he’s ‘never been one to stay’.
‘Magpie’ is due to be released on 7 October via Laissez Faire Club.
