Following-on from January’s smoky late-night offering “Caroline Street“, London producer KAASI has unveiled a new slice of cooling chill-wave, as he continues to make a name for himself among such talented peers as Tourist and Blackbird Blackbird.
Like its predecessor, this latest offering grows organically through busy arcade game tones, gorgeously seductive vocal sampling and a “less is more” piano refrain that nods gently towards the dance-floor. Its clapping beat and more breezy tempo offers a brighter hue however, making this a cut that beautifully soundtracks the arrival of spring.
Put your head back, drift off and let KAASI’s “Lucy Stone” transport you to sunnier climes.
