Jungle’s B-Girl Terra-featuring accompanying clip for debut tune, ‘Platoon’, is hands down our favourite video of the year. Now the duo – praise be, we finally have some info – are prepping their second single, ‘The Heat’, on Chess Club.
Silken vocals coalesce with siren-sounds and sudden jolts of squelching synth, but as always with Jungle, it’s the beat providing the ultimate hook. Laidback and effortlessly catchy, flickering snares and softly rattled hand percussion lay solid, cooling foundations for the boys’ smooth repetitions.
Although we’re treated to a shot of the pair relaxing in their identical green and yellow trackies, we’re still none the wiser as to who they are, or where they’re from. At this point, all that matters is their instantly identifiable vibe, carved out, amazingly, after just three tunes.
