Johnny Kills’ slacker-psych vibes shine in new cut "My Shirt Guy Is High"
"My Shirt Guy Is High" is the newest single from London/Brighton trio Johnny Kills which combines sun-soaked guitars with honky tonk keyboards creating a palpable musical euphoria.
Shaped around a shimmery synth hook and bedroom acoustic vocals, the track is a paradoxically satisfying mix of grunge-inspired bass and domestic topics; lyrics “I waited for your tea to brew” and “I spend my days doing absolutely nothing/it’s better than doing something” encapsulate boredom gloriously.
