Watch: Johanna Glaza - "Letter To New York" [Premiere]
London’s Johanna Glaza unveils her new single and video, “Letter To New York”, ahead of her forthcoming second EP, matching the mystique of her astonishing vocal with equally bewitching visuals.
Set largely against a backdrop of barren hills, the dusty image of Wuthering Heights’ Cathy and Heathcliff frolicking amongst the moors is immediate and made no easier to escape from than by Glaza’s Kate Bush -inspired wails. Flinging beautiful dynamics around unbounded and creating a multi-layered cascade of stunning ecclesial vocals, Glaza becomes a fine musical puppeteer fearless of unconventional structures and unconventional sounds. Beguiling and immersive.
Letter To New York EP is released on 7 July.
