Jessy Lanza hit gold with her Jeremy Greenspan (Junior Boys)-produced debut long-player Pull My Hair Back last year and continues to impress with another sensual electro-pop gem via a new Hyberdub compilation.
“You and Me” finds The Hamilton, Ontario-born vocalist and songwriter on fighting form with an entirely of-the-moment cut that joyfully melds the old and new in a way that’s both referential and forward-thinking. It’s a track she’s been playing live for a few months but was finished off purposefully for the second of Hyperdub’s second of four compilations. Listen below.
“You and Me” is taken from Hyperdub 10.2, out 21 July.
