Listen: JAWS – “Think Too Much, Feel Too Little”
Having just been announced as the first winners of the Momentum Deezer Award and won £2500 towards the recording and release of their debut album, JAWS are in a pretty good place right now. Cue the release of their brand new single, “Think Too Much, Feel Too Little”.
There’s effortless allure surrounding the Birmingham four-piece that’s all too enticing to resist. “Think Too Much, Feel Too Little” proves no exception. Laid-back, almost to an extreme, the new song sees a long overdue return of the group’s familiar sunshine-infused charm.
With riffs more bubbly than fizzy pop, JAWS have certainly found strength in their sound. Frontman Connor Schofield’s vocals resound somewhat mournfully over the track’s meandering melody, drifting towards a tightly building bridge that quickly explodes back into the track’s blissful refrains.
It’s the audio equivalent of a half-remembered dream in the mid-morning, and if it’s a sign of what’s to follow, we can’t wait to see what else JAWS have got waiting up their sleeves.
The band are set to embark on a headline UK tour next month, starting at 53 Degrees, Preston on 16 April.
