The Japanese House returns with forlorn ode "Somebody You Found"
The Japanese House - aka Amber Bain - unveils "Somebody You Found", a stunning new track mixing sun kissed indie with '80s pop.
The ascension of Bain over the past few years has been remarkable. From her humble beginnings as a vocalist in short lived indie outfit As Elephants Are to a jetsetting, cross-genre powerhouse, her growth as both a touring musician and as a producer has been instrumental in continuing her track record of highly original and challenging content.
"Somebody You Found" is no different. A movement away from the Steve Reich-inspired minimalism of her early work, the track oozes pop sensibility in the vein of Wild Nothing and Beach Fossils with a distinctive twist. This release came shortly after an impressive headline UK and European tour and sets the tone for what will surely be a glorious festival season.
“Somebody You Found” is the second song taken from the forthcoming EP Saw You In A Dream following the title track which emerged last month.
