Watch: Jacco Gardner - "Find Yourself" [Premiere]
Dutch psych-popster Jacco Gardner returns with the visuals to his foggily ebullient latest single, "Find Yourself", which we are proud to premiere below.
The song finds Gardner in a positively swooning, giddy air - contrary to the accompanying video - vocals hazily wafting in the incensed breeze betwixt his baroque-tinged guitar leads.
As the video, which depicts its protagnonist hunting and shooting down an alternate version of himself, alludes to in its imagery, "Find Yourself" mixes in a hint of dread beneath its deceptively mostly sunny exterior. Gardner's penchant for recalling wooly days of yore extends to the video, which is shot on 16mm film, through his own contribution of the coloured lava-lamp effects.
Gardner's upcoming sophomore LP, Hypnophobia, is out 4 May on Full Time Hobby. You can catch him and his band live at the 100 Club in London 24 April and a free Rough Trade in-store in London 5 May.
