Rising talent J Elle brings all the sultry R&B vibes on irresistible new banger "Take Me Away"
The London-based artist has been making music since she was only 16 years old, and has steadily built a reputation for fluidly merging her early Millenium-tinged R&B with a light pop sensibility.
Her efforts result in a well-formed, sultry and club-ready sound that is infused with tropical backing beats as J Elle iterates her lusty ambitions and deep infatuation with smooth, melodic swagger.
The song speaks of getting away and escaping the commution and irritation of everyone else's attention. Through the riveting beats and bouncing, hook-filled chorus, J Elle takes you along for the ride with her, escaping into her world where you can forget your worries and just concentrate on having a good time.
"'Take Me Away’ is about finding the right person, becoming infatuated by them, and just wanting to get away with them" Explains the rising R&B talent of the meaning behind the song. "No distractions, just the two of you. Being on a beach is where I'm happiest, and that’s the image I had in mind when writing the song. It’s inspired by my own relationship.
"'Take Me Away' is about the feeling of escape. I'd like to think when people listen to it they're transported to their favourite place. The video, coming out on the 28th September, was in fact filmed in my favourite place, Cyprus."
The song comes in the lead up to J Elle's upcoming EP, which features a collaboration with UK R&B heavyweight Courtney Bennet. Details of the new EP will be unveiled soon, and if this is anything to go by, we're in for a real treat.
