Intertwine return with the ocean blue gleam of "Let Go"
Not known for being prolific releasers of music, Norwegians Intertwine are back with a second single in a few months.
Having already started making up for the gap between 2015's Goraikoo album with June's "Tokyo" single, Tarjei Ekelund's project (now a trio with Aleksander Berg and Ruben Nesse) has released a second track of 2018, the sound of holding on to the summer, "Let Go"
Vibrant with marimba, cool synth washes and a shuffling, Balearic beat - yet always imbued with a wistfulness thanks to Ekelund's dreamy vocal - "Let Go" is the setting sun on your face, a cool breeze and a romantic stumble/fumble on the walk home from the club.
"'Let Go' is a song about that feeling when a relationship or a friendship dies out," says Ekelund. "Everything starts to feel numb, and you have to let go of each other to move on."
