Huxlee reintroduces herself with pop-rock gem "Big Breath In"
"Big Breath In" is a short, sweet pop-rock gem which teases Appetite, the forthcoming EP from California's Caitlin Notey, aka Huxlee.
A USC Popular Music graduate, Notey knows a thing or two about pop, having released her knockout debut EP Teammate back in 2015.
Of "Big Breath In", Notey explains: "You know when someone says something really shitty to you and there's a moment before you actually respond where you feel a million things at once, and it feels like it lasts much longer than just a moment? In this case it lasts two minutes and 22 seconds."
The sample-laced indie-pop track is a triumphant return for Huxlee, sounding polished and aptly rough around the edges, "Big Breath In" sees Notey's vocals shine as she quickly delivers through the track's cutting lyrics.
