"Rainbow's End" is a sweet disco-pop delight from California's Honeycraft
The shimmering disco pop outfit Honeycraft is set to release an EP very soon - and we're bringing you a brand new track from it today.
The project of Los Angeles-based Catherine Rose Smith, Honeycraft has released a series of sparkling singles already and "Rainbow's End" from Crystal Ball - produced by Thom Monahan (Pernice Brothers, Vetiver) - has no intention of breaking that run.
A mix of disco, Joy Zipper-style dream pop and '60s harmonies the track is a summery fantasia and one of the most life-affirming songs of 2018.
"To me, the rainbow's end is not a place, but a state of mind," says the singer. "Anyone has the power to make any day magic—this is a song about cultivating the surreal in everyday life."
Smith's vocals are wistful, high and soothing and the backing of chiming guitar, addictive groove and bubbling electronics washes everything in technicolour. Honeycraft are here to bring joy to your world.
