Watch: Holy Milk – “Born And Die”
One of the newest talents to emerge from South London, Goldsmiths’ (University of London) newest musical offering Holy Milk, have released what may be the only possible video that could match the intense, brooding tone of single “Born And Die”.
Although much younger than their LA counterparts, Holy Milk are already winning some well-earned comparison to atmospheric quartet, Warpaint. With good reason too, as “Born And Die” definitely feels similar in tone with its slow-burning bass build ups and lead singer Lucinda John-Duarte’s haunting croon being more creepily disaffected than overtly emotional.
The video fits well; an intense affair that showcases a family dinner party gone wrong, with minimalist visual swept under the rug rather than appearing brash or in your face.
