Headclouds go away with the fairies on debut single “Flowers”
Sunshine pop slackers Headclouds are one of many bands emerging from the North East’s galvanised independent music scene.
Taking inspiration from the intelligent pop craft of Prefab Sprout and Teenage Fanclub, the Newcastle band have a good idea of what constitutes an interesting and quietly catchy pop song.

Debut single "Flowers" finds guitars drenched in a haze of drifting reverb and swirling synthesizers intertwined with ghostly vocal harmonies whilst the steady wash of the ride cymbal ties the whole thing together. A laid-back slice of mid-summer indie pop, "Flowers" blossoms into a gorgeously optimistic tune that promises great things to come.
