The first EP from the Malmo-based Swedish band is a stunner.

“Rest” is a moody and suitably raw tune. The confounding plucked guitar riff opener is straight out of the Sharon Van Etten playbook and it sets the scene nicely for the bass guitar line to descend into the fray before Lundahl and her otherworldly singing pops up.

Somewhere in the mix, you can hear the influences of The Cure and Blonde Redhead, however, the band doesn’t stick around too long in any one vein, letting their jangly pop speak for itself.
