Multi-instrumentalist HARIZ takes steps to move on with captivating debut "OVRBRD"
Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist HARIZ shares his emotional R&B-tinged pop track "OVRBRD".
HARIZ's crystal-clear vocals are the first striking thing about the newcomer's debut - paired with the track's pristine production "OVRBRD" manages to create an emotional connection. Lyrically the track deals with the end of a relationship through a handful of nautical and travel-based metaphors.
Of the track HARIZ explains the universal experiences which led to its creation: "We’ve all been in some form of a relationship where we felt broken and lost because we were stuck in a destructive situation. Where we felt we couldn’t take it anymore, yet we just stayed with what’s familiar. It takes guts to step up and do the right thing for us and the people we love by moving on."
Figuratively, throwing the components of a relationship gone sour overboard, which includes himself, in this case, may be the best thing for everyone.
