Hamond drops a woozy slice of lo-fi R&B with the hypnotising “Windows”
Houston-based multi-instrumentalist Hamond delivers a skittering and shuffling electro-R&B jewel with his gorgeously minimal new single, “Windows”.
Multi-instrumentalist and producer Hamond is carrying on his run of popping out beautifully understated electro-pop gems with his new single “Windows”, following his recently-released EP Source Material.
A sophisticated take on bedroom R&B, “Windows” takes a melting pot of smooth R&B and electronic influences and pairs it with Hamond’s supple vocals to create a deceptively catchy, minimal pop track. It’s an understated affair - sharp snares and twitching hi-hats are the order of the day, while layers of reverberated background vocals give the track a hazy and mellow air.
Hamond · WindowsIt’s a short and sweet effort from the rising producer – but if the quality of his output so far is anything to go by, we can surely look forward to more stellar efforts from the up-and-coming multi-instrumentalist over the next twelve months.
