H. Grimace are as mysterious as ever on latest single "In The Body"
The gloomy London post punks’ first release since their debut album is a krautrock-inspired take on the female form.
Opening with primal drums, thick, chugging bass and minimal guitar notes, H. Grimace’s new single "In The Body" begins to reveal something hypnotic and ever so sinister.
It’s the four-piece’ first release this year and its certainly been one worth waiting for, continuing the band’s familial, yet unpredictable nature and taking it a step further. With hints of Savages' slick, noir-punk and Ought’s meandering art rock, the band also utilizes instrumental repetition and spoken-word utterances to produce something quite spectacular.
There is also an accompanying video for "In The Body", a fitting collaboration with British installation artist Georgina Starr, who has created an eerie depiction of a future where women communicate via coded message and...bubble gum.
