Danish talent GOSS strikes with high-concept pop gem "Time"
Danish talent GOSS scored a hattrick with new cut "Time" - his third song since last June and equally as compelling as "Waterfall" and "I Want To Know?????"
"Time" finds its feet somewhere between the disjointed, shifting textures of Jai Paul and the flush sounds of Royce Wood Junior. That's partly down to a co-production with fello Dane Vasco (MØ, Terror Jr., Soleima).
"It's about that instant where all your love for someone turns into frustration," GOSS tells us, "and the process that follows. Its about being angry with someone because you love them to much and you need the anger to love them less. You're trying to convince yourself that it was a horrible relationship but deep down you still want it."
The song's melody was original written for Baauer but wasn't used and GOSS build a whole new track around it. "I always start out making a version of the song myself," he explains. "I really like how the song is so slow but at the same time I feel like dancing to it. I also like the crony vibe."
"Like I could be standing on a stage in Las Vegas in some weird Luc Besson sci-fi movie where everybody plays these future interpretations of a classic big band instruments."
