Gosh Pith create more inventive, genre-defying music with "K9", appearing on their new EP
Detroit duo “Gosh Pith” unveil their latest slice of trap/R&B goodness, “K9”.
With a mix of ribcage rattling sub-bass and hypnotic tremolo guitars, childhood friends Josh Smith and Josh Freed have created a track which sounds like the offspring of Kendrick Lamar and Bauuer.
From the laid back flow of the lyrics (It’s like we don’t know no better baby / we just don’t know no better baby) to the minimalist drum machine rhythms present throughout, Gosh Pith strike upon a sound that borrows from the best but manages to stay unique.
Having toured the US in 2015 and shared the stage with the likes of Kero Kero Bonito and Vic Mensa, the boys from the motor city have their eyes set on even bigger things in 2016.
“K9” features on the band's new EP Gold Chain. The record is released 26 February 26 via B3SCI Records (digitally and on limited edition, 12" malachite-mint green vinyl). Pre-order.
